The Knight Band program at College Station Middle School is a thriving fine arts program in the College Station Independent School District. Our ensembles consistently earn top honors at contests, and our students leave CSMS equipped with leadership experience and time management skills that serve them well when they join one of two highly regarded high school band programs in our district.
Our program offers students an opportunity to play in one of three ensembles, each one specifically designed to provide the perfect mix of music fundamentals, training, and challenges for the students involved. We also offer a beginner ensemble for students new to band. These students have the opportunity to train with our concert band.
Honor Band
The Honor Band consists of students with one or more years of playing experience who have achieved an above- average playing level on their instruments and scored well on the audition.
Symphonic Band
The Symphonic Band is designed for students with one or more years of playing experience. Continued development of fundamentals, technique, and musicality are emphasized.
Concert Band
The Concert Band is designed for students with one or more years of playing experience. Continued development of fundamentals, technique, and musicality are emphasized.
